One thing on everyone's mind today is our country's economy.  Everyone is worried about jobs, how they are going to make their house payments, and how they will feed their family and provide for their family's future.  With nearly 10% of Americans unemployed, we need some help.  We are not lazy, but what we want is the opportunity to work somewhere that we enjoy, earn a respectable living, and provide for our families.  In the past, when we needed a job, we would search the newspaper for wanted ads.  Today, we have a much quicker, much more efficient way of searching for jobs.  The internet provides us with a variety of resources, and today I am going to provide you with a few links and descriptions of those job finding websites so that you can get back to work.  Good luck, and remember, success is right around the corner for you!

     This website provides with you with the opportunity to search for jobs based on categories, such as health care, sales, management, customer service, and nursing.  You can also search for jobs based on the city you live or the company you would like to work for.  Career builder also has many tools available to help you, such as assisting you with writing your resume, learning more about college degrees and certifications, career tests so that you know what the best career options for you are, a free salary calculator, career advice and fairs, and even skills training.  You can also search the website for international jobs and can even search in spanish. 

Monster.com

     This website helps you develop your profile, write resumes and cover letters.  You can additionally search and browse jobs.  It will assist you with career mapping and services, as well as provide advice for how to job-hunt, how to develop your resume and letter, interview, appropriate salaries and benefits for particular careers, and assist you with career development.

U.S. Government Jobs

     This website is provided by the U.S. government to assist people in their attempt to find government jobs in the U.S. and around the world.  It advertises that there are over 48,000 job opportunities around the world.  You can search jobs by agencies, such as the Department of Agriculture, or the Department of Defense.  You can also browse careers by US locations.  This job-finding site is especially recommended for veterans, as it has a veteran's employment resource center that will provide employment opportunities, service locators, and links to other resources.

     This website is the #1 source for hourly employment jobs.  It provides links to some of the following employers:  Fed Ex, Amerian Greetings, Bojangles, 7 Eleven, AMF, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Jo-Ann Fabrics, AMC Theatres, Goodyear Tires, Burger King, and more.  All you have to do is to complete your online profile, search for jobs and apply, and then wait for employers to contact you.
